Starship Locations co creator Marx Cards has been in Japan for close to 12 days. Production is resuming on the second chapter in Advanced Guard the series, along with the remaining episodes, or chapters, 3 to 9 about, for the next film, and 10 to 16 for the final film.
The adaptation of all 16 'chapters' of the first Vanguards Spacer novel, The Sphere of Influence, should be completed by May. All of the voices are still Kal Kat.
Legacy hasn't run its course and will return but we wanted to get the Cohnirri and the Vanguards stuff done first. We also do not have a third story. They had two with Rumbly already as of December and ran with those. Setting one of them just after she left the series in February (again) was sort of another let's film the rest of the leftovers from that last one, okay. But she has left before and could come back.
Maybe after Vanguards (Advanced Guard) they will go on and to a Transformers one.
Fanime in May and immediately after, the return of one of the cast from On Location Missions, could mean more stories set in either. JC inspired several of the Legacy quirks when he last appeared. So there's that.
It is thrilling to have done four movies, 'a quadrulogy', in the Cohnirri universe and made them the best ever. It has the most content. Certainly they could mine the other movie scripts. It had 63 one hour episodes. We did about 11 of them. One season. One book.
Cohnirri was as close to hard scifi as we've been, and is a character study of just a few humans and aliens, a sort of Disco parody counterpoint to Advanced Guard and it's TNG light feel. Not intended though. It's just the way the old scripts flowed. Cohnirri was always more serious. They're still fun though.
The Advanced Guard trilogy will be a bit smaller. It still works though, as more of an ensemble show. One season, 16 episodes. Not doing the others, not yet. There are 32 episodes, or more, but not all of them should be done.
The crew just got around to deciding they need more cheap wooden ships for Advanced Guard and the Berkeley cannot directly be a Cali class ship. That type of thing.
The time jumps between Legacy and Advanced Guard can be explained in that to all of them, in Sillian space you can walk in and out of 2413, 2488, and others, because it's really 2025. It's not time travel really. No, the new shows are set in the 2480s. Legacy being set in 2413 could easily have stories set earlier, but no earlier than the 'real date' of 2402. They would run into the Chimera A if they did that though. The 2401 to 2405 was the five year mission.
Just don't worry about that. If time jumps happen, chalk it up to Q or something.
Coincidentally, all of Chimera A's first missions happened before the final season of Star Trek Picard.
Hu. Anyway.
For the trekkie nerd geeks out there, it is 2025, 2325, and 2403 in the prime universe, er multiverse.
It is also 2413 (Legacy season 3) and 2488 (Cohnirri and Advanced Guard).
