The Cast of Starship Chimera in 2388

Here is a brief run down of the cast of Starship Chimera, but note that Star Trek names are used in the parody movie, and are not for any kind of profit. They are not officially endorsed.

This is what we gathered from looking at the three parts, and some some of the back stories about

JEAN LUC PICARD

In his 80s during the events of the story, born in 2305, he was commander of two starship Enterprises from 2364 to 2384. He retired at some point, but was reinstated as an admiral by the time of 2388. But he is more like 70 and acts younger.

GEORDIE LA FORCE

In his late 50s during the story, he was an engineering officer on two Enterprises in the 2360s to 2380s. He is made commander of the Enterprise E on her last mission beginning in 2388.

WILLIAM RIKER

In his 60s during the story, he was first officer on two Enterprises in the 2360s up till 2379 when he took command of the Luna class Titan. The ship was evidently lost after that, and the Excalibur class Titan A was commissioned at about 2386. He still commands the ship.

WORF

The Klingon officer is a security chief from two Enterprises, from Deep Space Nine, and the Defiant. He served as first officer on the rebuilt Enterprise E in 2388 on her final voyage, but during the incident opted to help Riker's ship instead.

DEANNA TROI RIKER

She is about in her middle 50s, and was counselor on two Enterprises. She appeared to be first officer on the Titan A in the 2388 incident.

NICHOLAS LOCARNO

Nick is the same age as his twin, Tom Paris, about 50, With a parallel life to his twin, Tom Paris, and a darker redemptive arc, he wasn't lost like his brother, but was captured by the Cardassians during the Dominion war, and rescued, where he saved the starship Exeter, under Captain Sarah Esteban and first officer Ro Laren. Having done his time, so to speak, he was brought back into Starfleet where he served with distinction, but had a knack for getting into trouble a little. As commander of the Chimera, he was caught up in the incident of 2388.

EZRI DAX

Former host counselor of Deep Space Nine and first officer on the Chimera, she is a Trill alien with a plucky streak who likes to mess with people. Present on the mission in 2388 and an intergral part of solving the problem.

KIRA NERYS

Bajoran resistance fighter and commander of Deep Space Nine following Sisko's disappearance after the Dominion war, she has made General rank and presides over the sector, including Cardassian space, ironically since they used to be enemies.

KATHRYN JANEWAY

Commander of the Voyager in the 2370s in the delta quadrant, made rear admiral by 2379, she is still that rank during the 2388 incident and helps the Chimera and crew.

SETO JAXA

A lost ensign officer from the Enterprise D who was found on a Cardassian prison world in 2376 at the end of the Dominion war, and rescued. She later would serve on the Enterprise E and on the Chimera during the incident in 2388.

MAJ BOLO

The tripping out helmsman of the Chimera put in his early report to the Enterprise E during the late 2370s that he wanted to be part of the Borg, but they rejected him. He was a Kazon alien from the gamma quadrant who evident came back with Voyager, possibly as a youth. Assigned to the Chimera during the mission.

KRASS

Krass is the little sister of Bellana Paris, and aunt of Miral, born before the Voyager left in 2371, given that she is a very young officer on the Chimera. She has a lover, Klank, who threatened the ships in 2388 but she killed him later on the alien planet.

AYER

Ayer is an older male Klingon who is the Chimera ship's doctor and seems to have taken a liking to the Tal Shiar Romulan intern T'Abby during the story.

T'ABBY

This Romulan intern doctor on the Chimera has a striking resemblance to Natasha Yar from the old Enterprise D, and may be a sibling of Sela of Romulus. She was not a daughter as she looks to be roughly Tasha's age if she was living, in her early 50s. She had a thing for Ayer.

WESLEY CRUSHER

The Mozart of space time was back, in his late 40s, and chief engineer on the Titan A during the 2388 incident.

VINCE MAHONEY

The wise cracking former prisoner from the Maquis people on the Carassian colony, where he, Krass, Locarno, and Seto were held, had issues, according to his record. He and Krass were the youngest, in their early 20s thus currently in the story. He and Krass joined starfleet and learned to tolerate each other. Evidently they did not bond terribly well in space prison, but helped each other out as friends.

Q

He is a space being that can control space and time, and is omnipresent somehow.

LOREUS

He is an Overlord of the Sillian renegades under Funnel's crew who had come through space time to steal the destiny device in 2388. He would be the same age as Data if he was living, but is an android.

HARRY CRENSHAW

He is an Overlord from the Silliams who liked Henry Barrister and wanted to be just like him, and was led into a life of crime working for Loreus.

Special Pre Screening YouTube of Chimera Fan film set for September 6 2019

Kal kat will preview the three acts of the Starship Locations Chimera fan film on Friday, Sept. 6, as the post production went incredibly well, at warp speed, and it looks like the Cards and Kat production will be bowing in September, but later have official release dates.

They separated it into three 51 minute acts because it being over 153 minutes was a little long and might have been problematic.

Recent last minute editing of one act has merely delayed an earlier release today.

The film stars mainly alumni from Star Crackers who worked for free on the film over a dozen years, but mainly the last 5, to bring out the best possible "chatty rose covered love letter to the Star Trek fans" that this could possibly be.

It will be the first animated parody like this, the first Star Trek like animated go motion film, and the first in over 40 years since the animated series of TOS.

It even acknowledges the TNG episode "Lower Decks" of which the later 2020 animated cartoon does, but it is of no relation.

"Right out of space dock, the fan film lands squarely in summer 2388 where a destructive wave threatens the galaxy, the Q are being menaced, and only our new crew and some old friends stands a remote chance of stopping it."

Current Starship Locations placed the year 2396 as the date, but the film takes place 8 years earlier.

"They are not making any profit, did not make any, and they're not a studio. All of this was done out of pocket with private collectables and constructed action figure playsets. It abides by the guidelines for fan films except for length."

A considerable camera improvement makes the final act look cinematic, but they're still action figures and this is still clearly extreme low budget. For what they did though, bravo.

"In the end, a dozen players of the game went down to two, the producers, who fought to the end to will it into being."

"We could not and did not have a kick starter, or pay anyone. This led to some of them leaving early on, but most left because, well, where's your movie, it's been a year, then five, then more."

"Well, here is is, and it's worth the wait. Every bit is a passion project where two avid TNG era fan trekkers give fans what they wanted, a true and proper send up following Nemesis that also pokes fun, and makes some of the mysteries of the canon make a whole lot of sense, like Seto and also Locarno being there. Others we messed with for fun, such as that Borg connection."

it will likely be in the preview cast and then some. Heh.

Post Production a go as Chimera chooses Release Dates

It seems almost a done issue an an anticlimax, but this past weekend, Kal Kat and Marx Cards did complete Starship Locations' first animated feature film, Starship Chimera, although Cards has to do some line reading in post.

Kat announced the drop of the official teaser at silicon Valley's annual Comic Con. Where else would that be? That's just in 11 days.

Full trailer will drop Sept. 8, on the 43rd anniversary of Star Trek, of which this is a parody.

Film is expected to drop to YouTube an the like, for free, no ad sense, on Christmas 2019, the same weekend as another big name series film.

Allegedly it is as long as a Marvel movie, so must be separated into acts.

Over the past 13 years, many Trek alumni had pledged their support for these films and had long since forgotten about it. They will be listed in the credits of the film.

This is not the new Picard show or Lower Decks, but references seem to be there. Interesting.

You have all seen the early trailers and teasers. These will be new.

Teaser, August 16

Trailer, September 9.

Feature, December 25.
